Once you have registered for the game you should receive a confirmation email. Click on the activation link on the email to activate your account, then visit the login page and put in your email address along with your password to login. If you forget your password at any time use the forgot password function available there.
If you have not received an activation email, you should still be able to log in using the email and password you provided during registration. However, unactivated accounts could be deleted, so please e-mail from your registered email and let our staff know, so they can activate the account for you.
Once you login for the first time you will be brought to the World Selection page. On the top of the page, it tells you how many tokens you have (you start out with 40). You will notice a wide selection of worlds you can join. Pick your favourite one and click "Join World". You will be brought to a screen where you have the following information to fill in: Airline Name; This should not be anything sinister or vulgar, names are checked so use something imaginative! Airline Code; This can be in IATA format (eg. EI) or ICAO (eg. EIN). The standard in Airline Mogul is to use the ICAO or 3 letter code format. It is recommended that users try using 3 alphanumeric codes because most of the letter codes are already in use. Operations Airport; Selecting this has a two fold effect. Firstly it gives you 1 gate (and 10 slots) at the airport of choice, but also it gives you a restriction to basing your airline operations on the continent on which that airport is located. You can only open up new bases there.
Setting up your first route
When you enter that world you will be taken back to the homepage. This is very similar to the homepage when you were logged out, but there is a new navigation bar at the top. From here you need to purchase a gate at your destination airport. (You already have a gate at your base). The way routes work in Airline Mogul is that each person buys a gate at both their departure and arrival airport. Each gate gives you 10 slots which can be used for 10 flights. Go to Gates, Rent Gate and navigate from there to either countries, continents or search.
When you have found the airport you want, rent 1 gate from it by clicking OCP (Remember one gate will give you 10 slots) and then continue to Routes, Create Route. Here you select your departure and arrival [[1]]airports. (Departure airports can only be a base or a hub) Select both of the airports and press Search Airports. Continue to Timetabling and select an aircraft, from here you can then decide on the number of flights per day (Frequency) and the ticket price. Try to mix and match different frequencies and ticket prices to optimize your return. (Remember *.5 = One way)
But when you rent your first gate, please make notice to the range of your aircraft, which can satisfy the distance of your route.
Create the route and that's it! You should be earning your first revenues when the day changes every hour.
Final Note
When the game reaches the end of every month, your bills for fuel and gates are totaled and charged to your account, so on the 1st day of the month your cash may drop very low. If you had planned to order anything make sure you hold onto enough cash to do so. Also remember that, unlike in real-life, Airline Mogul months only have 24 days (one day per real-time hour). You can find the time scale by searching the word Time.
Enjoy the game and if you want, drop into the forums to say hello.
